Curriculum Overview

Geography
In Year 3, we have been working as archaeologists, investigating a collection of Stone Age artefacts kindly borrowed from Malton Museum. The children became detectives as they examined each mystery object, using clues and information to discover what it was made from and how it would have been used by people living in the Stone Age.
The children thoroughly enjoyed getting hands-on with history and were fascinated to discover what these artefacts can tell us about life thousands of years ago!
DT
This term in Class 3 we have been looking at different levers, including push-pull linkages, bell crank linkages and reverse motion linkages. We have looked at which pivots are fixed and which are loose, and have recycled old cereal boxes to create our very own interactive pages!
Our reading area.
Class 3 are having table tennis lessons from Table Tennis England coach Tony Fuller! They will learn how to handle a table tennis bat and how to play forehand and backhand shots!
