Science

We are proud to have achieved the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) for 2024/25! This recognition reflects our commitment to inspiring curiosity and fostering a love of science in every pupil. Take a look at the evidence pages we’ve created to see the work and learning behind this achievement.

In STEM Club, children love to get hands-on!
The children have engineered bridges and tested their strength, built tall structures out of cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows, and created hovercraft gliders using straws and cards. They even made balloons travel along strings, turning simple materials into exciting experiments. Every activity sparks creativity, teamwork, and a love for science, technology, engineering, and math!

During the Spring Term, our STEM Club has been inspired by a range of famous innovators who have made significant contributions to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. These include Emily Roebling, Gustave Eiffel, Leonardo da Vinci, Mary Sherman and Rube Goldberg.

The children have taken part in a variety of exciting, hands-on challenges. They designed and built towers using cocktail sticks and marshmallows, explored aerodynamics by creating hoop gliders,  and investigated forces by making rockets.
