Our aim is to recognise and celebrate pupils’ achievements in writing through our weekly Writer of the Week award. Each week, class teachers select a pupil who has demonstrated particular effort, progress or quality in their writing. Winners are recognised with a certificate and a pencil, and their work is displayed in the school hall for others to see. This helps to raise the profile of writing across the school and encourages pupils to take pride in their work.
